Crop collage photos without stretching faces
A filled slot needs the right crop
A photo and its slot may have different proportions. Filling the slot without empty edges requires cropping part of the photo. Stretching instead would make a face wider or taller than it really is. Jarvis preserves proportions and lets you choose the visible area.
Your original file is unchanged. Try a composition, undo an edit, reset a crop or choose another layout without rewriting the source photo.
Move the subject into the frame
Tap a canvas photo to select it, then drag horizontally or vertically. Movement works where the image extends beyond the slot. When it fits one dimension exactly, dragging in that direction may not visibly change the crop.
Worked example: a wide photo of two people in a tall slot may need repositioning to keep both faces. If the slot is too narrow, choose a wider layout. More zoom cannot restore content outside the frame.
Use zoom and rotation deliberately
Zoom provides a closer crop but shows less of the original scene. Start at minimum zoom and increase only when it improves the subject. Rotate turns the selected photo by a quarter turn; check the crop again because its effective width and height change.
Reset crop restores the selected slot’s pan, zoom and rotation. The other photographs keep their own settings.
Change the slot when necessary
Swap with another photo exchanges positions. Another layout may suit the shapes of your images better. Available layouts are filtered to your current photo count.
Check faces, hands, product edges and important details before downloading. Text overlays can also hide a subject. Undo and Redo cover edits; adding or removing photos begins a new history so removed images can be released from memory.
