Make an Instagram Story collage without an account
Start with a tall canvas
The Story preset uses a 9:16 canvas at 1080×1920 pixels. Starting in that shape is easier than cropping a finished square collage afterward. A preset is a composition aid: publishing apps may still place interface controls over parts of the image.
Choose Story and add supported JPG, PNG or WebP photos. Jarvis accepts up to nine images, 10 MB each and 30 MB combined. Other formats need to be exported to a supported format before selection.
Give the moments an order
For three photos, Hero + two gives one image emphasis and two supporting images. Three chapters stacks them evenly. Choose based on what someone should notice first, rather than filling every possible space.
Worked example: select a wide scene, a detail and a portrait. Use Hero + two, then Swap with another photo to put the scene in the main slot. The same images tell a different story when reordered.
Find the crop and caption
Tap a photo in the canvas and drag to reposition its crop. Use Zoom for emphasis and Rotate for a quarter-turn correction. Crops are independent and do not alter your original files.
Add a short caption, such as A Sunday afternoon. Drag the text layer to a readable position, away from the extreme top or bottom. Font, colour, size and bold controls help it fit the composition.
Download before leaving
Choose JPG for a photo-heavy image or PNG for crisp text and graphics. Original size follows the preset; 2× gives a larger output within the maximum edge limit. No watermark is added.
Open the downloaded file and check faces, captions and readability at phone size before sharing. The collage was created on your device. Photos were not uploaded, and the editor does not keep a persistent photo draft.
